Mrs. Bennett grew up in a military family and had the opportunity to travel around the United States and Germany. She enjoys exploring the diverse landscape of Arizona with her husband, two sons, and three dogs. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Human Relations at Vennard College. She then completed a Master of Science degree and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Psychology through Capella University in 2008. Mrs. Bennett is a lifelong learner and is currently working toward her goal of completing a doctoral degree. She is currently attending Grand Canyon University College of Doctoral Studies in the Educational Doctor of Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in K-12 Leadership program. Go ‘Lopes!
Prior to becoming a school psychologist, Mrs. Bennett worked as a Speech & Language Paraprofessional and Special Education Resource Teacher. Mrs. Bennett completed her internship in 2007 and became a Certified School Psychologist in the Spring of 2008. She has worked with students from preschool through high school in the Casa Grande community. Mrs. Bennett enjoys working with families, team members, and students in the Casa Grande Union High School District. It has been Mrs. Bennett’s pleasure to work with student and families throughout their educational career and participate in their transition into post-secondary education and/or careers. Participating in graduation and celebrating the students’ accomplishments is one of Mrs. Bennett’s greatest joys in the school year. She is inspired by the students as they overcome obstacles and accomplish their goals in their journey to excellence at Casa Grande Union High School!
