My name is James Ludlow. I was born in San Jose, California, and have lived in Utah, Oklahoma, and Texas before moving here to Arizona. I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma. I have been a speech-language pathologist in the school setting for over 25 years. I enjoy working with all students from Pre-K through 12th grade and find it to be very rewarding to see all students meet and exceed their communication goals. Speech Language Services in the high school setting are very dynamic. We work on everything from articulation to social skills. Speech-language therapy services are provided in many different styles ranging from pullout services (one-on-one to small group sessions); consult services (pulling the student monthly to assess how they are doing in their classes and on their IEP goals); and support services (supporting teachers and school staff by providing resources and ideas on how to work with students who have speech and language needs). I have always enjoyed working with school-aged students and providing intervention services to assist them in developing stronger communication skills in the educational setting. Strong communication skills are an important part of family, school, and community life. Our main goal in providing speech-language therapy services is to help all students with communication needs to be prepared for life after graduation from high school. If you have any questions about your student’s communication skills, please feel free to contact me at 520-876-9400 x4152 or [email protected].
